internet censorship in Iran...

With the advent of computer, internet was something that was much awaited to make it a perfect package for Homo sapiens(remember!! i wanted to make my posts bombastic ;p). I consider internet as one of the most essential part of life. i am not ashamed to admit that i am an internet addict. yes, i am a net addict. so what.. i need to sit online, check my mails, accounts and search for news, articles, books, n most important for me is the research journals. Also, i get an opportunity to publish blogs ( doesnt matter how many times i begin, but yeah, i atleast do it..!) I read others blog to know their point of view, post comments, interact with people. Oh yeah, interaction reminds me of social networking site like orkut, facebook etc. so internet works like a world in itself where we can relax for sometime and get the required information at our finger tips.

But imagine how life would be when all this is taken away.( i cant go to Iran to get an iranian journal!! ) yes, Iranian government has censored the internet in Iran. People are jailed if they use internet for bloggin.( i wonder what will happen if it is censored in india.. dont worry, political system is smart & going to be stable here.... hopefully!) Not only blogging, internet ban is laid on facebook, youtube,  sites related to political system, women rights, sites that allow freedom of thoughts, democracy n pornography.. In all they have curbed the human rights for everything, even enjoyment. What kind of political system is it that still follows the orthodox religious funda to curb human thoughts n rights. I respect Islam but i dont see a point where it is written to "forcefully" condemn rights. Yes, i agree that you should preserve your religion but not at the cost of torturing people!! if there is no internet, then people will definitely find themselves lagging and behind time ( now this is not the way to go back in time.. i was waiting for a time machine to be invented!!) Seriously, it is a country where people have been long suppressed, women have faced atrocities (especially girls going to school!!!) I do not understand their motive behind doing all this. to reduce Cybercrime?? well there are other ways than cutting people from internet. it is like cutting the umbilical cord of the baby before stepping in the world!!

i dont know how to express my anguish over the issue. all i can say is that i am proud & happy to be an indian.. for the first time i felt that i am a free flying bird and sensed my freedom. i can blog any no. of times i want( i mean any no. of starts!!) i can write openly about political system, i can express my thoughts, i can watch porno whenever i feel like, i can meet and make many new frenz online, chat with people to exchanmge culture... And i know i am not crossing my boundaries to offend my religion and culture.. Thanks to Indian system and thanks to our political leaders for not getting influenced by others.. JAI HIND!!!(n i mean it this time!)

always, always, always a new beginning...

hi .. :) here i am again.. to start blogging afresh.. (well i should rather say "to restart blogging for the nth time") i am wondering, if i had stuck to one blog, i would have had many posts in it.. but NO, i always start blogging and i write few posts n delete the id.( here, by "a few posts", i mean 2!!!).. so what is this blogging after all.. is it to pen down your thoughts or is it to write something good for e- readers???.. i read a lot of blogs and i like reading, but when it comes to writing, i get shaky.. i shuffle webster's and oxford dictionary to search for high bombastic words.. ( as if dat wasnt enough, i installed word web to help me out for that purpose!)... but after reading some really good blogs, i felt that it is unnecessary to show off here.. who cares what kind of english you use.. even if i commit a mistake, it is considered to be a cool way of mockery ;) . . . but main motto is to give voice to your thoughts.. ( i mean words to ur thoughts!!)

My earlier blogs always started with a dedication to mom and all the mothers on earth but now i realised that every time i start a blog i cant keep writing the same dedis..(c'mon even computers hang up if u keep burning the same content in different disks, n i m worse than a comp!) so no dedications to anyone this time..

ahem ahem. . . coming to "the hatke  incident of the day", we had the power cut n the reason was "DMK-congress talks failed!!!" for christ's sake what crap was that??? (but you know what.. tamilians deserve it!!) as if this wasnt enough, the cable guy had cut the line in protest.. we were wondering what we can do.. My dad went to check up with our local cable guy n saw many other outrageous people.. but that cable guy, being a staunch DMK supporter, was firm in his decision.. My dad couldnot stand it anymore.. though the electricity issue was out of our hands but this cable connection!!! he dint sense the blow coming.. all the people decided not have cable connection.. we bought tata-sky and sun direct n asked the cable guy to keep his connection.. ( that was a huge blow to him n i am wondering if DMK is going to pay compensation to its loyal supporter..!)
Now we are sitting in house, happily watching TV at a lesser price.. but i still dont understand one thing.. should we feel happy to have taught a lesson to that cable guy or should we feel like a jack ass for having fallen to the trap laid to buy Sun direct ( which is again a DMK product if i m not mistaken!!!)  whatever it is, one thing is sure, the present governtment is sucking our blood n money but people are not realizing it.. two years later, we are again going to vote for a senseless, ruthless party n i can foresee the upcoming power cuts!!! (n the cable cuts as TV needs electricity to run yar!!)
